"This ten-day journey is for the traveller who wants to understand Uganda โ€” not just photograph it. You will sleep in a family home, fish the Nile at dawn, watch a gorilla through the trees, and sit with Batwa elders who can tell you what this forest sounded like before the world changed. This is Uganda like a local."

Frequently Asked Questions
Is 10 days the right length for first-time Uganda visitors?
10 days is the ideal duration for a first Uganda visit โ€” long enough to go deep (not just skim), reach all major regions, and have genuine cultural immersion without exhaustion. It covers both the wildlife highlights (gorillas, Murchison) and the human story. Many guests tell us 10 days felt both full and unhurried.
Can I add chimpanzee trekking to this package?
Yes โ€” strongly recommended. Adding the Kibale chimp trek on Day 7 (+$250/pp permit) makes this the complete Uganda primate experience (gorillas + chimps). Contact us to update your quote. Many guests describe the chimp trek as equally thrilling to the gorilla trek.
What is the accommodation standard?
This package is midrange โ€” comfortable, clean, locally-owned lodges with private en-suite rooms, good food, and warm service. The one homestay night is the exception and is the most personally rewarding accommodation of the trip. Upgrade to luxury lodges is available at additional cost โ€” ask our team for options.
